To promote affiliate offers, you can set up a simple machine by using a simple 2 page website with an autoresponder.

Here’s what you'll need:

1. A hosting account
2. A domain name
3. A text-editor or webpage editor
4. 2 very simple web pages
a. A "Squeeze" or "Opt-in" page
b. A "download page"
5. An autoresponder account
6. FTP software
7. The link to your affiliate offer

Lets look at each of these in a little more detail.

1. A Hosting Account

A hosting account is where you will store your web pages. There are literally hundreds of webhosting companies - from expensive, top-of-the-line to down-in-the dirt grungy. You don't generally want down-in-the dirt grungy, but you don't need to pay for top-of-the-line, either. Do some research and visit web hosting forums to see who's offering the best deal right now.

2. A Domain Name

A Domain name provides your web pages with an address on the Internet. It's what people type in to the address bar of their browser, and what is commonly known as a "URL" (Uniform Resource Locator) or "URI" (Uniform Resource Indicator).

Pick a domain name that will be relevant to your niche. If we choose "Fat Loss For Idiots" we might want to choose, "SecretsOfFatLossForIdiots.com". Places like GoDaddy and Namecheap are excellent examples of reliable domain name registrars.

3. A Text Editor or Webpage (aka "HTML") Editor

I highly recommend you download what's called a "WYSIWYG" html editor (for "What You See Is What You Get") which allows you to create web pages simply and easily - by adding formatting and font styles and the like. These editors allow you to build a web page visually, so you know exactly "What You Get"

Why not just use Microsoct Word, you ask? Because Word is TERRIBLE for web pages. I cannot stress that enough. Microsoft Word should NEVER BE USED TO CREATE WEBPAGES! When you save a Word document as a web page, the program adds a bunch of gobbledy-gook to the backround of the page that ends up costing you money in the long run. (We're here to make money, not lose it!)

There are a number of WYSIWYG editors, some of which are high end, like one program called Microsoft Frontpage. But you can get along quite well with the free and quite excellent webpage editor KompoZer. Google it and download it for free.

4. 2 Simple Webpages

The next step in this process is to create 2 simple web pages. The first is called a "Squeeze Page" or "Opt-In Page"

Squeeze Page (Name it index.html)

A squeeze page is simply an offer to exchange valuable information in trade for the user's email address.

Basically, you will take the "opt-in" form that you get from your autoresponder company (don't worry, I'm going over this next) and create a page with a tantalizing offer - a report or a series of emails.

You want to offer something that will entice the people in the niche you are targeting to sign up.

For instance, for "Fat Loss For Idiots" you might want to offer a report titled something like "How To Lose Fat Quickly!" or, the "Top 10 Tips For Fat Loss." (You may have to do a bit of research, but not too much, to find ideas for the content for your report - but don"t steal other people's content!)

Incidentally (and here's the real power) - once you have your visitors on your email list - you can promote other Affiliate or CPA offers and other products relevant to buyers in this niche for MORE money! We'll talk about your email list in just a minute.

Download Page (Name it download18972.html)

The second page you'll need is called your "Download Page." On your download page, you will have a link to your report (more on that in a second), as well as a link to the affiliate or CPA offer that you are promoting.

Note that the name I suggest is download18972.html - I just typed some random numbers. I do this so nobody can try to guess my download page very easily. Sometimes I use something like download_1234_4soieur.html or something equally crazy using letters, numbers, and _s only.

Now, remember the second hoplink we gave above? You will want to use that hoplink on your page (if you are promoting that particular product. "Hoplinks" are actually a Clickbank term, so other affiliate networks will probably call their affiliate links something more off the wall - like, well, "affiliate links".

Now, you will probably want to say something more than just "click here" -- because you want to entice your visitor to click on the link for this offer.

So, you might say something like "This is a product that I found really has helped many people in their battle against the bulge". If you've actually used the product with success, brag on that.

Also, you can look on the product page for their "affiliates" link, and they may have more promotional material (banners, graphics, and the like) that you can use on your download page.



5. An Autoresponder Account

An autoresponder company is an email provider where people can sign up to email lists that you create. Once you have an account with one of these companies, you can then send out email to your members automatically on a periodic, scheduled basis. So you set it up once, and then keep profiting from it over and over ?

Here are a couple of popular Autoresponder providers:

1. GetResponse
2. Aweber

Basically, you can set up your account so when someone signs up for your email list, they get email #1 after signing up, email #2 a day or two later (whenever you'd like to schedule it), email #3.

It doesn't matter when they sign up - the autoresponder company keeps track of what email to send each person, and when to send it - so you don't have to!

One of the other things that autoresponder accounts also do is ensure email deliverability. If you send out email from your own domain, your domain might accidentally end up on a "blacklist", (I've been there before, you don't want it to happen to you, believe me) and email will not be delivered to email providers like yahoo.com, hotmail.com, gmail.com, etc. who subscribe to the blacklisting companies. (Most email providers and Internet Service ,roviders - ISPs - do...)

Here's the secret: When you set up your autoresponder form, you will be asked for the location of a "Thank you" page. You want to put your affiliate link into that field. For most autoresponder services, it defaults to a form on their site. You don't want that. You want the user to go to your affiliate/CPA offer, so you can make money!

6. FTP Software

FTP stands for "File Transfer Protocol". And that's what this software does. It transfers files from your computer to your webhosting account. All it does is move files from one computer (yours) to the other (that of the webhosting company)

The programs mentioned below make the process very similar to simply copying a file from one place on your computer to another. There are a number of free options for ftp software.

You'll use one of these programs to transfer your squeeze page and download page to your server:

1. KompoZer - That's right, the html editor mentioned above has ftp software.
2. FireFTP - This is an extension that is used with the Firefox Browser.

7. A Simple Report

As mentioned above, when you create your webpages, you want to have a report to offer to people to inspire them to sign up to your email list.

You can make simple but elegant-looking reports using products like Microsoft Word, the free OpenOffice suite, or with online tools like Google Documents.

After you create your document, you will want to make sure it's readable on all computers. The way to do that is to create a "pdf" document out of it.

You can use the pdf creation capability of OpenOffice, which will let you convert Word (.doc) or OpenOffice (.odt) documents into pdf files from directly within OpenOffice (using File->Export as PDF)

That's it - with these seven simple steps you have everything you require to start generating sales commissions.

Adsense is beginning to make a huge impact on the affiliate marketing industry today. Because of this, weak affiliate merchants have the tendency to die faster than ever and ad networks will be losing their customers quickly.

If you are in a losing rather than winning in the affiliate program you are currently promoting, maybe it is about time to consider going into the Adsense marketing and start earning some real cash.

Google is readily providing well written and highly relevant ads that are closely chosen to match the content on your pages. You do not have to look for them yourselves as the search engine will be the doing the searching for you from other people’s source.

You also don't have to spend time in choosing different kind of ads for different pages. Google makes it very easy for you, with no codes to mess around for different affiliate programs.

You will be able to concentrate on providing good and quality content, as the search engines will be the ones finding the best ads in which to put your pages on.

You are still allowed to add Adsense ads even if you already have affiliate links on your site. It is prohibited, however, to imitate the look and feel of the Google ads for your affiliate links. One of the things you can do, however, is to utilize Google's custom palette to customize your Google ads, making them to appear a part of the web page itself. The idea here is to match background and links to match the theme of your site. People on the internet today are trained to click on a link that is blue, and if your Google ads have the same theme as your web page, it makes the Google ads appear to be a portion of your "content."

You can also filter up to 200 URLs. This gives you a chance to block ads for the sites that do not meet your guidelines, and also block competitors. Remember that it is unavoidable that Adsense may be competing for some space on web sites that all other revenues are sharing.

Owners of small sites are allowed to plug a bit of a code into their sites and instantly have relevant text ads that appeal to your visitors appear instantly on your pages. If you own many sites, you only need to apply once. Then ,you are issued a unique "publisher ID", which can be used on any site you currently own. A small snippet of Javascript is placed on your site in the location you wish the ads to appear in, and generally speaking, the ads from Goggle will appear in minutes. This ends the hassle of having to apply to many affiliate programs, and keeping track of many different URL's and user ID's and passwords.

As Google ads are very easy to customize, and can be placed anywhere on your site you wish, you can experiment with placement, colors, and themes. Many tricks are available to the resourceful webmaster, including adding images in conjunction with your Google ads to make them more noticeable

The payment rates can vary extremely. The payment you will be receiving per click depends on how much advertisers are paying per click to advertise with the use of the AdWords. Advertisers can pay as little as 5 cents and as high as $10-12, sometimes even more than that too. Some savvy lawyers are currently paying as high as $75 for advertising the keyword mesothelioma! And you, as the ad publisher, are earning a share of that money generated.



If your results remain stagnant, it can help if you try and build simple and uncluttered pages so that the ads can catch the visitor’s eyes more. It sometimes pay to differ from the usual things that people are doing already. Google has many tutorials, including a "heat chart" which shows you where the best placement for ads are. You will need an account to access these tutorials. Sign up for an Adsense account at https://www.google.com/adsense/?sourceid=aso&subid=ww-et-awhome&hl=en_US. It is also a refreshing sight for your visitor once they see something different for a change.

It is still wise to look at other people’s information and format your Adsense in a like manner. A wise old business axiom is to "find a good business model, then copy it." Let others do the hard work for you, and learn from a successful site. Just think about it as doing yourself a favor by not having to work too hard to know what content to have. Look to sites that have high page rank, and carefully observe their layouts, their content, and placement of their ads. A little time spent doing research can put dollars in your pocket down the road.

Publishers have the option of choosing to have their ads displayed only on a certain site or sites. You can also have them displayed on a large network of sites if you so desire. Google now has the option to allow other people to advertise on your site. This only makes good sense. If you are marketing to a tightly defined niche, you can place your own ads, written by you, on site that allow this option. The choice is yours, depending on what you think will work best to your advantage.

It is important to note that you cannot choose certain topics only. If you do this, search engines will not place Adsense ads on your site and you will be missing out a great opportunity in making hundreds and even thousands of dollars cash.

Topics to be avoided includes gambling, firearms, ammunition, tobacco or drugs. If you are being offered more cash in exchange of doing Adsense with these kinds, it is just like signing your own termination paper.

With all the information that people need in your hands already, all you have to do is turn Google Adsense into your own cash cow. It all boils down to a win-win situation both for the content site owners and the webmasters or publishers.

Google Adwords - There are many thousands of web site promotion products that are on the Internet that make all sorts of claims about the "flood" of traffic that they will bring to your web site. There is no doubt that to make a decent income as an affiliate you will need traffic and a lot of it.

However, be careful. Unfortunately many of the products are not effective and will not live up to their promoters claims. Google Adwords is a breath of fresh air blowing in fresh and untainted from all of the Internet hype. You really can get a flood of traffic fast with a good Google Adwords ad. Starting about 15 minutes from now if you already know your product and market well and write a good ad.

However, getting the traffic flow is only part of the story. Since Google Adwords can start bringing traffic to your site in 15 minutes or less after setting up an ad campaign you had best be ready to receive that traffic before starting a campaign. This may seem like an obvious statement but it is amazing that many promoters spend good money sending traffic to a truly horrible web site that is offering equally horrible products.

My advice is to take your time to find a quality affiliate program that has outstanding in demand products and a high converting web site before turning loose a Google Adwords campaign. The products reviewed and recommended at Affiliate-Programs-Promotion.Com are those that have worked for us and that should work for you but do your own homework and analysis. If you are sending traffic to your own web site make sure that the site is fast loading, is well designed, has a clear call to action, is easy to navigate, and has a simple, easy to follow check out procedure.

Forget, all the fancy stuff. Flash presentations and the like. On your selling pages on the net simple really is better.

Google Adwords - What is It?- Google Adwords are the tiny little ads that you see in the far right hand column of most Google search results pages. The ads are written by ad publishers (advertisers), who pay on a pay for performance basis for their ads to appear on the Google pages.

The advertisers (publishers) pay starting from a minimum bid of $0.05 a click but only pay if someone comes along and actually clicks through on the ad. Since Google serves many millions of search results daily a Google Adwords ad gets a lot of exposure quickly. If it is a good ad about something that folks have a real interest in you (as the advertiser) will get a lot of traffic and visitors in a New York minute.

Fortunately, Google lets you set up a daily budget so that even the "litte guy" can use the service without fear of going broke. Google sets up a line of credit for you to get started and only charges a $5.00 processing fee to set up your account. Initially, you will be billed when your account balance is about minus $200. That is, when you own Google about $200 for your ad click throughs. My advice is to set your budget at a level that you are comfortable with rather than by following the Google suggestion.

That said, to get the best results don't be too tight with your ad budget. Google is high powered and needs some fuel (money) to show you what it can do.

So What's the Big Deal about Google Adwords? - Google Adwords is, in my opinion, the most significant new way of advertising since our friend Al Gore invented the Internet.-)

Why do I say that? Where else can you open an account, write an ad, choose a few keywords, select your area of distribution, and have visitors visiting your web site within 15 minutes? Not only that but Google lets you change your key words, ad copy, headlines, area of distribution (you can advertise globally, to the US only, or to many market area combinations), and URL's whenever and as often as you like.

However, as good as Google Adwords is be forewarned. It is NOT as easy to make money with Google as some so called Internet gurus would have you believe. Writing a good small ad is actually more difficult that writing a big one. With a small ad every word counts. You must have an attention getting headline or you are wasting your time. However, you only have 25 characters for that headline.

You have room for two lines of body, each with a maximum of 35 characters, then a line for a display URL and a line for the actual web site URL that you are sending traffic too. That's it. Your small ad must be very well written. It is amazing what a difference in click through rates the changing of even one word can bring.

In order to write a good small ad you must have a very good understanding of the product and of your target buyers. You have to zoom right in and show the benefits of buying your product or service in just a few words. That's not easy to do but is a fun and rewarding goal to work towards.

The point is, there is a learning curve with Google and at first your results may be disappointing. Especially since the hypesters tell you how easy it is. However, the potential for profit is so great that IMHO it would be foolish to ignore Google Adwords. Some foks are already making a darn good income from just running Google ads. Those who work hard to master Google and actually become Google Adwords experts will have the key to Internet riches firmly in their grasp.

Google Adwords Features. - Google Adwords has many top notch account management and ad campaign management and ad evaluation features. For example, you can set up separate ad campaigns for each grouping of key words and track the results. You will know rather quickly your "money" key words and then can easily make adjustments in your campaign.

Rather than outline all of the features here I believe it will be better for you to get that information directly from Google. For additional information go to Google Adwords

Google Adwords Tips -
1.-> Start your campaign by using the minimum bid of $.05. Since Google rewards an ad that is getting a high CTR by moving it higher in the search page results listings a great ad may get more traffic at the $.05 rate that a poor ad at $.50. Try the lower amount first and see what you can do. It is easy to increase your bid if need be.

2.-> Always write at least two ads for each campaign. Google will show you the CTR rate for each ad. Review your ads results frequently. Delete or revise the poorer performing ad, write fresh copy, headline, etc. and again measure results. Always try to keep improving using the better performing ad as the control. The goal is to beat the performance of your best ad and to start the process all over again. You should always be trying to improve performance. A great ad promoting a great product is a real money maker.

3.-> Google rewards relevance. Your keywords, ad copy, and web page that you are sending traffic to must be highly correlated. Example: You are selling blue leather shoes. Your headline should be "blue leather shoes", your ad copy should have "blue leather shoes" in it, and when the folks who are looking for "blue leather shoes" reach your web page thay had better quickly have "blue leather shoes" right in their face.

4.-> If your own web page is sub par send folks directly to your affiliate page. That is if it is a page that converts visitors to buyers at a decent rate. You don't even have to have your own web page with Google Adwords. If your affiliate site is a real winner send your traffic directly to the site. If the order page is great send your visitors directly to the affiliate order page.

5.-> Test, Test, Test. With Google Adwords you will get very fast feedback on your ad headlines, copy, keywords, and sign-ups. You can test new ideas fast. If they work, fantastic. If they fall flat you can quickly revise your campaign. Compare a 24 to 48 hour time period to know if an ad is working well or not to say a print media ad in a magazine where 30 to 60 days may go by before the ad even runs. Google Adwords is a dream of an advertising tool for those who move up the learning curve.

6.-> Be ruthless in deleting or revising poor performing ads and key words. Google pays big rewards for excellence. A great ad can move right to the top of the list and get a ton of traffic for you at $.05 a visitor. You can improve your ads performance by deleting the keywords that are poorly ranked and for deleting ads and replacing ads that are getting a poor CTR.

7.-> Pay attention to how your display URL looks. Try capitializing a word or two and the "c" in com. For example, if your URL is http://mygooglead.com try http://MyGoogleAd.Com .Believe it or not it can make a big difference in your CTR for that ad.

8.-> Set your budget at a level that you are comfortable with but be realistic. I wouldn't go under $5.00 a day or you will severely limit your traffic. If your budget is too low Google will not fully serve your ad. Less exposures will likely mean less traffic than your ad should be generating.

9.-> Use a good key word tool, like Wordtracker, to help you make good key word selections. It doesn't matter how good your headline and ad copy are if you are targeting key words that no one is searching for. It is equally disastrous to target keywords that are too general in nature.

For example, if you are in the fish business and target "fish" you may get a lot of traffic but no sales. If you are in the tropical fish business and target "tropical fish" you would be getting closer to the mark. If you sell exotic tropical fish and target "exotic tropical fish" you will likely get the right type of traffic visiting your web site AND assuming that you have a decent site your visitors would be placing orders.
