Perhaps they donâ€™t understand the benefits of using newsletter marketing.  The fact is, using newsletters in your marketing will allow you to reach a wide variety of people all over the world.  Itâ€™s also a very economical method of advertising your business.  Sending out a newsletter by email wonâ€™t cost a thing, unless youâ€™ve hired someone to create it for you.  If youâ€™ve decided to use newsletters as a method of increasing your Internet marketing business, you will want to keep the following in mind:</p>
<p><strong>Content Based</strong><br />
Your newsletter should be content based.  What this means is that you must include information that is going to educate your target market.  While product promotion is good to include, educating the consumer will be more beneficial.  Give them the information they need in order to make the right decision about your business and products.  What you will find is happy consumers always come back. </p>
<p><strong>Permission Based</strong><br />
Before you start throwing in any email address you can find to your list of senders, you should realize that you should first get permission to send them the newsletter.  On the capture page of your website, request the visitors to your site to sign up to receive the newsletter.  Sending out your newsletter to just anyone is simply a bad idea. </p>
<p><strong>Income Based</strong><br />
Take advantage of the space in your newsletter and earn some more income from it.  Sell advertising space and youâ€™ve created another way to make money.  Offer this advertising space to those who are affiliated with your company, but be very careful not to include any of your competitors in your newsletter. </p>
<p>Using a newsletter for your Internet marketing business can be a very positive strategy for your business.   Not only can you give your customers the information they desire, but you can earn more income and generate a great deal of activity for your business. </p>

Deliverability â€“ This is probably the most essential aspect of email marketing because so many of the emails being sent everyday, including spam and legitimate ones, get flagged and are not successfully delivered. This is because they canâ€™t get through ISP spam filters. So the first thing you must consider is the deliverability of your email because if your emails arenâ€™t delivered then your campaign wouldnâ€™t be successful. </p>
<p>2.	CAN-SPAM Compliance â€“ Keep in mind that your newsletters should be CAN-SPAM Compliant. Many online marketers recommend that you require a double opt-in subscription in order to confirm the personâ€™s request for subscription to your newsletters. <p>3.	HTML and plain-text versions â€“ It is also recommended that you offer your visitors with a choice between plain-text and HTML versions of your newsletters. Sure, it might seem like extra work having to send both types of emails whenever you update but consider this as another aspect of having to make a living online. Remember, every bit of effort makes a difference. Why should you do this? Well, this is because your subscriberâ€™s preferences differ from each other and there are people who use online mail clients that donâ€™t support HTML emails. So do consider this.</p>
<p>4.	Pay attention to your from and subject fields â€“ These are the first things that your subscribers would see and they are very important when it comes to increasing your open ratio and could very well be the reason why your campaign fails or succeeds. There are a couple of things you should remember. First, make sure your â€œfromâ€ field is consistent. Choose one name and stick with it. Second, your â€œsubjectâ€ field should be short and catchy as it needs to grab the attention of your subscribers and get them to open your newsletter.</p>
<p>So there you have it, just a few tips to keep in mind when youâ€™re planning your campaign. Always remember to respect your subscribers and never send them way too many updates. Once or twice a week should be enough for them to remember you without being too push. After all, you need their patronage in order to make a good living online.
